The newly renovated TCL Chinese Theatres in Hollywood has a new audio-visual systems partner in Christie Digital, with the addition of Christie’s DLP Cinema Projectors in the renovated theater’s 932-seat auditorium.
Christie’s projectors have also been installed at the TCL Chinese 6 Theaters nearby, right on the famous Hollywood Walk of Fame. According to Christie’s press release, the installation of the 4K Christie Duo solution at TCL Chinese Theatres is “among the highlights of the extensive, multi-million dollar renovation that has helped the famous landmark make the move to digital. The reopened theater features the brightest 2D and 3D 4K-resolution images in the industry, with the auditorium playing host to a wide range of high-profile events, from world premieres and gala performances, to some of the entertainment industry’s most glamorous celebrations and awards shows.”
Christie’s projectors, which will be showing non-IMAX 2D and 3D film offerings, are available to corporate groups, multiplex operators and others who want a bright resolution and high frame rate screening. In fact, the large movie screens are the perfect canvas to demonstrate the power and brightness of the high light Christie Duo and two Christie Solaria® CP4230 projectors.
